We dropped in to the Hib after an evening stroll through Angle. We found genuine people, serving good value for money, tasty, home cooked grub. We were fortunate to be served by a very personable, chatty and informative lady. Her manner and character were a major part of the success of the evening. Add to this, the humour and cheerful attitude of those behind the bar (and the local customers) and it says chapters about the Hib and it’s success. We had blanchebait as ‘horses doofers’, then garlic mushroom penne pasta and Hib chicken, followed by sticky toffee pud and ‘hanky panky’ (think freezer cake made by Willy Wonka).. top notch comestibles guys. Thank you.

Staying in Angle for a spring break I thought my husband deserved a night off from cooking! He had an enormous steak which was melt in the mouth, and a couple of pints of local mild which he said was very good. I had scampi and chips, lovely and excellent portion. The fire was on in the bar which gave it a cosy ambience, and locals, visitors, and staff were all happy and smiling. Our westie was also made very welcome. We will be back
